Stephen T. Easley

Mr. Easley was Vice President, Generation Services, from July 2002 to March 2005, when he was appointed Senior Vice President, Supply.
Mr. Easley joined KLT Power, a then wholly owned subsidiary of KCP&L, in 1996 as Vice President, Business Development. In 1999, he joined Kansas City Power & Light as Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer and was reassigned to Director, Construction for the Hawthorn Unit 5 rebuilding project.
In April 2002, he became Vice President, Business Development, and was appointed President and CEO of Great Plains Power in June 2001. Prior to 1996, Mr. Easley was Director of Business Development for Cinergy Investments, Inc. and also held various positions.
Mr. Easley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology from Purdue University. He is a Member of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies and its Generation Council, the Electronic Power Research Institute Generation Council Committee and the Southwest Power Pool Operations Policy Committee. In addition, Mr. Easley serves on the Board of the Urban League of Greater Kansas City.
