Chuck Tickles joined KCP&L in 1980 as an engineer in Power Production. He was promoted to Manager of Computer Applications in 1988, Manager of System Applications in 1994, Director of Information Systems in 1996, Senior Director of Information Technology in 2000 and assumed his current position on August 1, 2007.
Chuck led the corporate-wide benchmarking/best practices initiative and served as transition coordinator for IT and the company in previous merger attempts. He spearheaded the recentralization of the Information Technology Applications teams in 1994.
He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Rockhurst University Executive Fellows Program in 2001. He is currently serving on the board of Mid America Assistance Coalition.
